Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC)
Tax credit of 15% of the lesser of qualifying expenditures and $50,000.00. Max credit is available for qualifying expenditures made or incurred after Dec 31, 2022. Refundable credit to assist with the cost of renovating an eligible dwelling to establish a secondary
unit that enables a qualifying individual to live with a qualifying relation. Qualifying individual must be 65 years of age or older before the end of the renovation period taxation
year or 18 years of age and eligible for the disability tax credit.

GST/HST New Residential Rental Property Rebate
Rebate up to 36% of the applicable GST, however the amount phases out as the value
of the units increase, reducing to 0% at $450,000.00 per unit. Max rebate of $8,750.00 is for landlords who, for residential rental purposes.
- Purchased newly constructed or substantially renovated housing from a builder.
- Constructed or hired somone else to build, housing or an addition to housing.
-All eligible claimants must fill out part A, B, C and F of form GST524, GST/HST new residential, rental property rebate application.

Canada Greener Homes Loan
Interest free loan up to $40,000 for energy retrofit repayable in 10 years. Pre-retrofit evaluation complete on or after April 1, 2024.

Canadian New Secondary Suite Loan Program
Up to $80,000.00 in low interest loans to add secondary suites to homes. Allow refinancing of insured mortgages for secondary suites, to let homeowners access the equity in their homes to finance the construction of secondary suites. Borrowers will be able to access financing of up to 90 per cent of the house value, including the value added by the secondary suite(s), and amortize the refinanced mortgage over a period of up to 30 years. Increase mortgage insurance home price limit to $2M for those refinancing to build a secondary suite.
